Barrier and Revival are a must-have to keep your allies alive, but with the Desperation upgrade for Revival, they come back with a massive bonus to damage.

A Maul is the best weapon for this build, seeing as it does little AOE damage and with the combination of Mighty Blow and Earthquake you can knock down enemies before they have a chance to blink. You gain good mobility with this build with the Combat Roll and using Grappling Chain can keep the meanest ones hitting you so your friends can attack from the sidelines.
